I.        darTZeel Audio SA is the only company which develops, manufactures and markets darTZeel products. darTZeel Audio SA has exclusive rights over patents numbered WO03043185, EP1444776, US2004196101, US6882225 et CH695431.

II.       darTZeel Audio SA markets its products and accessories through an official international distribution network on the basis of exclusive distribution contracts which determine for each distributor:

1. The country or countries in which the distributor is authorised to sell darTZeel products.
2. Sale prices to end users, taking into account freight and logistics costs, as well  as the various taxes applicable in the country concerned.
3. After-sales service policy.
4. Strict compliance with darTZeel's top-of-the-range product philosophy.

III.      Distributors (importers) of darTZeel products have a network of official dealers authorised to sell the products to the public. These dealers must be approved by the distributor in order to form part of the official sales network of darTZeel Audio SA. Any unauthorised dealer is therefore not a member of the darTZeel official sales network and may only sell darTZeel products occasionally and with the express agreement of the distributor.

IV.      Any darTZeel product purchased or imported outside the scope of this network is considered to contravene our sales policy and to breach the contracts we have entered into with our distributors. 
darTZeel Audio SA reserves the rights:

1. To cancel all warranty and service support rights for such products;
2. To publish a list of the serial numbers of the products acquired in breach of our sales policy;
3. To file a complaint against the seller and/or buyer of the products in question.

B. darTZeel customer protection

I.        In order to protect our customers' investment, all darTZeel products bear a unique serial number which is stored in our database. This number allows us to trace each product on the basis of a number of criteria:

1. Distributor's and/or dealer's name
2. Latest update/upgrade carried out
3. Fine-tuning in accordance with mains voltage in the destination country
4. After-sales service history
5. End-user identification
6. Term of the warranty
7. Second-hand resale history

II.       When buying a darTZeel product through the official network, the end user is asked to:

1. Inform darTZeel Audio SA of the date of purchase and the name of the dealer.
2. Request a certificate of ownership validating the warranty, which will only provided by darTZeel Audio SA.
3. Request an engraved identity plate - if not already affixed - which will only be provided by darTZeel Audio SA.

III.      Any darTZeel product which is not registered or which does not have an identity plate or serial number, will not benefit from any warranty or support service and may fall within article A. IV above.

C. Warranty

Warranty is granted to the first buyer and is transferable to a second purchaser only within the original country of purchase. The warranty is only transferred to the second puchaser if he makes himself known to darTZeel Audio SA who will register him on its database. An unidentified second-hand owner will not benefit from any warranty or support service.

Exceptions:

Second-hand sales in another country are permitted in the following circumstances:

1. The distributor has been informed
2. darTZeel Audio SA has been informed
3. The serial number appears in the sales advertisement
4. The details of the new owner have been given to darTZeel Audio SA
5. The warranty has not been tranferred

D. Advice on buying a new machine
 

1. Check that your dealer is a dealer authorized by your distributor.
2. Always ask for a detailed invoice showing the serial number of your product and the date of purchase.
3. Check that the serial number on the box corresponds to the handwritten - or identification plate - number on your product. Never remove the handwritten serial number!
4. Do not buy a machine which does not bear a serial number.
5. Inform darTZeel Audio SA of your purchase as soon as possible and request your ownership certificate. Each machine carries its individual identification plate. If you wish your name to appear on the plate, darTZeel can engrave one for you. A charge will be made for this service.

E. Advice on buying a used machine

I.       Purchase from an official dealer

Official dealers are not entitled to sell you a product from abroad. If you are in any doubt, you should contact us.
The product he sells you will be either a trade-in from a previous customer, or a demonstration model.
Always ask for a detailed invoice showing the serial number of the machine and the date of your purchase.
Request the original packaging box and check that the serial number appearing on the box corresponds to the handwritten number or to that on the identification plate of your product.
Never buy a second-hand machine without a serial number.
Inform darTZeel Audio SA of your purchase as soon as possible and ask for the machine to be registered in your name. On request, you can have a new certificate of ownership and a new identification plate. A charge will be made for this service on a used or second-hand product.

II.      Purchase from an individual

Before purchasing a darTZeel product from an individual, particularly when buying on the Internet, ask for photographs of the serial number of the product and the box, and of the certificate of warranty or ownership.
Ask for a copy of the purchase invoice and details of the product’s history: country, dealer, etc.
Ask us to check this information immediately so that we can confirm that the product is registered with us and is absolutely genuine.
If the seller has complied with our sales policy, he will have already informed us that he is offering his product for sale.
If not, ask him to do so. If he refuses, simply don’t buy the machine: the product he is offering you is suspect and you will be the one to suffer, as you will not have the benefit of any after-sales service.

If you make a purchase, ensure that you retain the seller’s details.
If you have to leave comments on the sale website, test your product properly and check that it corresponds fully to the description given to you by the seller.

If you believe you have been deceived or misled, or have any doubts following your purchase, please inform us as soon as possible.

F. Buying darTZeel products in countries not forming part of the network 

If you wish to buy a new darTZeel product in a country which does not appear on our list of distributors, you can contact the factory directly, giving your full details including name, address, and telephone numbers.

Depending on your country of residence, we will recommend the most appropriate way of buying a darTZeel product. Either:

1. we’ll give you details of a distributor near your country of residence to which we will exceptionally give written permission to sell the product to you outside its market area, or
2. we’ll sell the machine to you directly from Switzerland at the retail price. darTZeel Audio SA will not offer any discount where a direct sale is made, but in this case it will pay for a factory-direct warranty.
3. darTZeel Audio SA is its own exclusive distributor for Switzerland and Lichtenstein.
